Two enthusiastic teams from ProjectiveGroup UK swapped their laptops for power tools as they took part in a two-day Splash Project, helping transform the playground at Christ the King Primary School in North London.
Splash Projects is an initiative which utilises team-building exercises outside the everyday workplace to provide a long-lasting difference to local charities and communities. Their mission is to help companies build healthy teams and successful leaders, enabling individuals to develop their skills whilst also making a genuine difference in the world.
A number of staff members had previously taken part in Splash Projects in the past and experienced the huge benefits that they bring, so this year the team at ProjectiveGroup UK were eager to continue the tradition and deliver another valuable project for the local community.
Taking place over the course of two days, this year’s project focused on the theme of London transport and involved building new playground equipment including a train, bus, stage and waiting room to promote imaginative and creative play. In this deprived area of London, many of the 300+ pupils do not have regular access to outside spaces, so providing a safe, fun, and engaging playground area is hugely important for the school.
Everyone involved put in a tremendous effort to build the new play structures for the pupils, and even some heavy downpours couldn’t dampen the team spirit! We would like to say a huge thank you to Splash Projects for organising such an enjoyable, rewarding, and meaningful project that we are proud to have been a part of.
