On Wednesday 8 March, ProjectiveGroup hosted a special event at our London office to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD). IWD is a global celebration of the political, cultural, social, economic, and academic achievements of women, as well as a call to action for gender parity.
Embrace equity
Based around this year’s theme of ‘Embrace Equity’, we welcomed staff, clients, and friends of the business to come together and share their experiences, insights, and outlook for the future. Throughout the evening, everyone had the chance to participate in open and interactive discussions addressing some of the most pressing topics related to bringing equity to the financial services industry and beyond.
With guests from a broad range of backgrounds, each with their own personal experiences and perceptions, the event provided a valuable opportunity to dive deeper into what gender equity means to different people and what we can all do to help achieve it. At ProjectiveGroup, we recognise that it is our responsibility to support, inspire, and elevate women in what is a traditionally male-dominated industry, and we are hopeful that this event was a meaningful part of this ambition.
Diversity in all of its forms
Our dedicated DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) team works hard throughout the year to promote diversity in all of its forms and makes sure that every member of our team feels welcomed, respected, and included. We know that a diverse team is a powerful team, which is why we are committed to making DEI a top priority across our whole organisation.
The journey to gender equity will involve bringing many diverse voices to the table, not just hearing from people with a powerful platform.
“Given that this year's IWD theme is Embrace Equity, the DEI team wanted to host an event that was equitable not just in theory but also in practice. With that mandate in mind, we decided to deviate from a traditional panel-led presentation in favour of a round-table discussion. This is because the journey to gender equity will involve bringing many diverse voices to the table, not just hearing from people with a powerful platform. It was a breath of fresh air to see executives learning from analysts, as well as people of all genders exchanging ideas on the future of women in the workplace and the world.” – Denise Mitchell, DEI Lead at ProjectiveGroup UK
Not just a buzzword
We recognise that (gender) diversity is not just a buzzword - it's essential for success. We're honoured to have a team of talented women who bring unique perspectives and experiences to the table, helping us to better serve our clients but most of all to be better colleagues.
Let's continue to support and promote gender diversity in finance and beyond.
