22 hours and 31 minutes on the bike covering 632,8 kilometres and 2.880 altitude metres. Last weekend, some of our Dutch ProjectiveGroup colleagues completed another edition of our very own ZEPA challenge, raising an impressive 25.993,74 euros to support unaccompanied refugee children in the Netherlands.
Let us introduce you to the ZEPA-challenge. A 3-yearly initiative initially founded by our colleagues of Enigma Consulting, one of the Dutch entities that’s part of ProjectiveGroup. To raise funds (and awareness) for refugee kids in the Netherlands, they cycle from their office in Driebergen all the way to Paris (around 580 km’s). But this year, they did things a bit differently because the destination wasn’t the Eiffel Tower but the Brandenburger Tor. That’s right, our colleagues cycled +600 kilometres all the way to Berlin and that in less than 24 hours.

We divided the trip in 12 stages of around 50-60 kilometres. We cycled in relay form in teams of 3 to 9 people, but we start and finish with all participants. One brave soul even managed to cycle the entire trip (kudo’s, Pieter).

For this edition, we cycled to support the YOIN foundation, an organisation dedicated to unaccompanied minor refugees. In total, 786 people donated 25.993,74 euros, which exceeded our goal of 25.000. Although we already completed our trip, you can still contribute by donating right here.
