63 million steps for charity: the 2026 Projective Group walking challenge
As colleagues across Projective Group moved through the month of May, something powerful was happening at the same time. Our annual Global Walking Challenge brought people together across countries, combining wellbeing, connection and social impact in one shared initiative.
What started as a simple idea once again became a collective effort that crossed borders. With colleagues joining from across our European offices, the challenge created space not only for friendly competition, but also for collaboration and purpose beyond day‑to‑day work.
The concept behind the challenge remained simple. Colleagues signed up, tracked their steps using an app or wearable device, and contributed to their country’s total. Each step taken supported both personal wellbeing and a bigger collective ambition. By walking more in daily routines, whether during lunch breaks, commuting or after work, participants built healthier habits while contributing to something meaningful.
At the same time, the challenge kept a competitive edge. Each country aimed to outperform the others, creating energy, motivation and engagement across teams.
The data shows how colleagues embraced the challenge differently across locations, but with a shared commitment to being active. In total, hundreds of colleagues joined, creating a strong sense of momentum throughout the four weeks.
Together, we reached an impressive total of 63,117,742 steps.
By the end of May, the results were clear. Together, we reached an impressive total of 63,117,742 steps. Beyond the rankings, the numbers also highlight consistent effort across all teams, with strong average step counts per participant and meaningful participation levels across countries.
As with the previous edition, the challenge went beyond competition. Every step contributed to supporting charities chosen by each country. Thanks to the collective effort, Projective Group is proud to donate a total of €8.000 to
These organisations all play an important role in supporting local communities, and this initiative allows us to contribute in a simple but tangible way.
When we connect across countries, support each other and work towards a shared purpose, we can create real impact.
The Global Walking Challenge continues to show what makes Projective Group unique. When we connect across countries, support each other and work towards a shared purpose, we can create real impact. By combining wellbeing, collaboration and social responsibility, the challenge demonstrates how small daily actions can lead to meaningful change. We are already looking forward to building on this momentum in the next edition.
