The rapid growth in the number of AI applications within financial institutions calls for compliance professionals who have a sound basic understanding of what AI entails, the opportunities it offers and the risks associated with it.

The EU AI Act imposes a number of compliance-related requirements on providers and users of AI. These requirements are most stringent for high-risk AI systems, such as those used for creditworthiness assessments.

The compliance function plays a key role in monitoring compliance with these requirements, even though the EU AI Act does not explicitly mention the compliance function. This course covers the various aspects that the compliance function will need to address in this regard.
