Are you involved in payments, banking, compliance, innovation, digital transformation, or financial market infrastructure and want to understand the rapidly evolving world of digital assets?

This training provides a clear, practical, and business-focused introduction to digital assets and the technologies reshaping the future of finance. Participants gain a solid understanding of fundamental concepts including different types of digital assets, blockchain technology, distributed ledgers, smart contracts, cryptocurrencies, tokenization, stablecoins, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), and the Digital Euro.

First, the training explains multiple types of digital assets, their usage and real-world examples. The training explains how digital assets are created, transferred, secured, and governed, while exploring key characteristics such as ownership, programmability, transferability, and immutability.

Participants will learn how blockchain and distributed ledger technologies enable new financial products and business models, and how tokenization is transforming traditional assets such as bonds, funds, real estate, and other financial instruments.

Concrete topics include Digital Assets, Stablecoins, Digital Euro, Current Regulations, Risks, and Real-world examples. A the end of the training, the participants will go through an all-encompassing exercise, testing their understanding of the topic.

Real-world examples and industry case studies are used throughout the course, including tokenized bonds, tokenized investment funds, stablecoin ecosystems, CBDC initiatives, and emerging market developments. Participants will examine practical use cases, benefits, limitations, and lessons learned from both successful implementations and notable failures within the digital asset industry. Each section is concluded with a brief knowledge check.

Through interactive exercises, knowledge checks, industry insights, and group discussions, participants develop the confidence to engage in digital asset initiatives, assess opportunities and risks, contribute to strategic decision-making, and participate effectively in discussions around the future of payments and financial services.
